Overview

Location:  Remote (Eastern Time Zone – Florida preferable)

 

Travel:  10-15% travel is required; travel is to project sites throughout the East Coast and is needed to meet key stakeholders at project kick off and/or training.

Education:  HSD/GED is required, Bachelor’s or Master’s and PMP is preferred

 

Experience:  8+ years as a project manager. Public sector, municipality or legal experience preferred. PMP Certification is strongly preferred 

 

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Implementation Project Manager is the first step in building relationships with local officials, law enforcement and courts to facilitate BusPatrol’s school bus camera operations and enforcement.  The ideal candidate has a passion for client service, project management skills, and problem solving. They also have strong communication and presentation skills, attention to detail, root cause analysis and continuous improvement tools experience/understanding, and a customer-first orientation. The ideal candidate operates autonomously, builds trusts, and consistently delivers results.  

Responsibilities

  • Act as the voice of the customer in the project implementation process. The implementation team works primarily with our external partners, including law enforcement, finance, and courts to integrate our program to their day-to-day activities. The implementation project manager is the customer champion
  • Use standard project management tools and philosophies to lead successful implementations, meeting timelines and contractual obligations. BusPatrol’s primary project management tool is Wrike
  • Work with sales to identify and engage all relevant stakeholders, and drive alignment on need and timelines with internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive internal coordination with operations, marketing, information systems, finance to ensure program readiness at go-live based on project timelines
  • Define the scope of work from the contract and the legal requirements
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan and milestones, using Wrike
  • Continually assess risk and use root cause analysis tools and approaches to identify and solve problems (A3, 5Whys, Ishikawa Fishbone Diagram (Cause-and-Effect Diagram), Process Mapping)
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture to ensure customer needs are met utilizing frameworks such as Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) or similar approaches
  • Produce high-quality documentation and create appropriate visibility to leadership. Develop project plans, project schedules, project budgets, work breakdown structure (WBS), communication plans, status reports, and project closure reports
  • As project nears completion, deliver customer training to key external stakeholders including courts systems and police department on the use of AlertBus, Helpdesk ticketing systems, etc.
  • Make recommendations and develop creative solutions to eliminate roadblocks
  • Work with function leader to develop best practices and drive standardization
  • Work with Legal to conduct initial research on State procedures and relevant laws when entering new markets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher; Masters and/or PMP preferred
  • 8+ years project management experience is required. Strong experience acting as the voice of the customer and managing multiple complex implementation project timelines is required
  • Experience leading projects impacting the public sector or municipalities preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of success in delivering multiple complex projects on tight timelines
  • Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders to achieve a common goal of delivering projects in time for go-live
  • Experience with / understanding of standard root cause analysis tools is preferred
  • Continuous improvement framework understanding / experience is preferred, Six Sigma certification is preferred
  • Experience managing communications to various audiences on various medium platforms (e.g., emails, presentations, reports, etc.) 
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detail
  • Experience using project management tools, preferably Wrike or SharePoint
  • Must have extraordinary customer relationship skills, and a track record of explaining technical processes to laypeople
  • Mature, successful collaborator with good judgment, influencing skills, and capable of earning trust across a variety of diverse teams
  • Solid organizational player with attention to detail and multitasking capabilities
  • Proactive communicator with outstanding written, verbal and presentations skills
  • Positive influencer that leads through frequent ambiguity/uncertainty/change
  • Organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, and work in autonomy, flexible
  • Ability to speak Spanish an asset

The US salary range for this position is provided in this posting. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
