Overview

Location:  Remote, must be based in IL, IN, OH, or MI

 

Travel:  50% Regional Travel

 

Eligible for Commission: Yes, up to 100% of Base Salary

Education:  Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent work experience. MBA is a plus.

 

Experience:  5+ years of proven experience as an Account Manager or in a similar sales role, demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

 

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to drive revenue growth for our organization. As a Community Partnership Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and attaining sales plans, and collaborating with other departments to achieve sales targets. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, this person will be expected to build strong relationships with School Districts and Municipalities within the Midwest region (IL, IN, OH, MI).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships within our ecosystems of school bus safety partners
  • Work with contracted lobbyists to build relationships with school districts and municipalities
  • Execute the overall sales strategy to achieve company objectives and revenue goals
  • Achieve sales targets and KPIs for the team, monitoring progress and taking corrective actions as needed
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to develop effective sales and promotional materials
  • Work closely with other departments, such as product development and operations, to ensure alignment and smooth execution of sales initiatives
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, generating reports and presenting findings to senior management
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and customer preferences to drive innovative sales approaches
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience as an Account Manager or in a similar sales role
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Strategic mindset and ability to think critically to identify business opportunities and develop effective sales strategies
  • In-depth knowledge of sales techniques and best practices
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales-related tools
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events in the US (regional 50%)
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Municipal and State legislative experience preferred
  • Experience working with School Districts an asset
  • Experience working with Strategic Purchasing and buy boards.

The US salary range for this position is provided in this posting. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
