THE OPPORTUNITY:

Join our team at BusPatrol as a Business Transformation Lead, where you will play a pivotal role in establishing, developing, and managing a robust Transformation Management Office (TMO). This role will focus on building the processes and frameworks necessary to ensure the successful execution of high-priority initiatives, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven problem-solving. Reporting to the VP of BizOps & Strategy, you will contribute to the company's growth and operational efficiency by creating scalable, efficient systems and methodologies that will help the organization execute strategic priorities.

 

This role requires a driven, strategic thinker with strong leadership and analytical skills, along with the ability to develop processes from the ground up. You will be instrumental in creating a disciplined execution framework while also participating in key project initiatives. The role is dynamic and offers the opportunity for long-term growth based on your interests and skill set.

Responsibilities

This position will focus on Operational and Process Improvement and will be responsible for:

  • Enhancing Operational Efficiency: Implement best practices to improve operational efficiency and foster cross-functional collaboration throughout the organization
  • Driving Proactive Problem Solving: Anticipate challenges and proactively propose solutions to enhance project execution and overall organizational performance
  • Implementing Tools and Technology: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate, select, and implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies that support project management excellence. 

Main priorities will be in the following two areas:

  1. TMO Establishment and Management (70%):
  • Develop and Establish a TMO: Build and lead BusPatrol's Transformation Management Office (TMO), ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals
  • Process Development: Design and implement standardized project management methodologies, tools, and processes to guide the execution of high-priority initiatives across departments
  • Strategic Roadmap Execution: Collaborate with senior leadership to define the strategic roadmap and ensure alignment with the company's vision and mission, integrating it into the PMO framework
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by integrating data-driven problem-solving techniques into the TMO, enabling the team to proactively identify areas of opportunity
  • Project Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring they are prioritized, resourced, and executed according to timelines and budget constraints
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Establish strong partnerships across all business units to ensure alignment in project execution and encourage a unified approach to strategy deployment
  • Capacity Building: Develop organizational capabilities in project management through training, mentorship, and creating tools for continuous learning.
  1. Execution of High-Priority Projects (30%):
  • Lead Strategic Initiatives: Take ownership of high-priority projects that drive profitable growth, operational efficiencies, and scaling best practices across the organization
  • Operational Execution: Work directly with teams to ensure the smooth execution of strategic initiatives, from diagnosis to solution implementation
  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data analysis to support decision-making, track progress, and improve project outcomes
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities for growth and innovation through internal and external partnerships, supporting business development efforts.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven experience in establishing and managing a TMO / PMO or leading large-scale strategic initiatives
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and process improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decision-making
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong ability to do slide writing, develop tools and templates to drive strong processes and continuous improvement
  • Consulting background preferred, with a focus on TMO or PMO-like projects
  • Prior experience with hands-on operational transformation initiatives, with a focus on organizational effectiveness, operational efficiency, and process discipline, ideally with exposure to technology or operationally complex environments
  • Experience with Wrike or other Project Management tools a plus.
