Job Title: FP&A Analyst (Forecasting)

Location: Houston, TX (Galleria and Tanglewood area) (4-5 days a week in office)

Travel: Less than 5%

Manages Others: No

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related analytical field.
Experience: 2+ years well-rounded financial analysis experience. Investment banking or Private Equity experience a plus. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Sumifs, Pivot tables, Macros, Index/Match, V-Lookups, Arrays, etc), PowerPoint, and data modeling.  Experience with ERP (NetSuite) or EPM (Planful) systems and an understanding of database structures is a plus. Experience with presentation tools such as ThinkCell, LucidChart are a plus

 

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting directly to the VP of FP&A, We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join the BusPatrol team — an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing company and take on a highly visible role within our Finance organization. As an Analyst, you will play a key part in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, while also having the opportunity to own high-priority analytical deliverables across the finance function.  This role with give you regular exposure to the C-Suite. 

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist in creating and maintaining consolidated metrics and KPI reports, utilizing various data sources and systems to identify trends and analyze the underlying causes of variance from goals.
  • Develop and manage detailed financial models.
  • Support the annual and quarterly planning and forecasting processes by:
    • Managing budgets, forecasts, and reporting tools to deliver accurate and timely financial plans.
    • Preparing monthly and quarterly management reports, including analysis of segment growth and profitability.
  • Provide senior management with timely, accurate information.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for stakeholder meetings.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data, drawing actionable insights and conclusions.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
    • Exposure to financial systems, planning, and reporting a plus.
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Sumifs, Pivot Tables, Macros, V-Lookups, Arrays, Index/match), PowerPoint, and data modeling.
    • Experience with presentation tools such as (ThinkCell or LucidChart) would be highly preferred. 
  • Experience with ERP (NetSuite) or EPM (Planful) systems and an understanding of database structures is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, Build Three Statement Models, DCF Valuations, Scenario Modeling, Data Sorting and derive actionable insights.
  • Skilled at working with large datasets, identifying key information, and summarizing insights.
  • Quick to learn and capable of working independently to meet tight deadlines while managing competing priorities.
  • Strong communicator, consistently keeping stakeholders informed on progress, open items, and any obstacles or opportunities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative, own processes, and ensure high-quality work output.
  • A strong work ethic and a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
  • Comfortable asking questions and respectfully challenging ideas when backed by data or analysis.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
