Position Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Product Manager to lead and build our Emergent Work Team, a strategic initiative to address high-priority, fast-moving product and partner needs. Reporting to the VP of Product and Strategy, you’ll be responsible for productizing emergent work at the top of the funnel, including:

  • Responding to RFPs, law changes, and partner requests. 
  • Onboarding new states and partners. 
  • Enabling cooperative agreements and integrating new vendors and strategic partners. 
     

This team will serve as a strategic bridge to our core product delivery teams, improving customer experience while reducing downstream impacts. 

Responsibilities

This role is critical to improving our customer experience while enabling the success of our internal delivery teams and delivering strategic KPI impact. Aspirational KPIs for this new capability include: 

 

  • Increasing awareness and visibility to emergent work by 25% 
  • Increasing partnership with cross-functional teams (Sales, GovOps, Legal, and Implementations) by 25% 
  • Improving our customer experience by 25% 
  • Reducing negative downstream impacts to our delivery teams by 25% 
  • Reducing development lead time by 25% 

 

What You Will Do

Lead the Emergent Work Team: 

  • Lead the Emergent Work Team: 
  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap and productization for this new team. 
  • Align the team’s goals with the delivery teams and strategic KPIs. 

 

Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Serve as the primary liaison between business teams (Sales, Legal, GovOps, Implementations) and technical teams (Product, UX, Engineering, and AI). 
  • Partner closely with various internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and proper hand-offs between groups. 


 

Drive Product Innovation: 

  • Develop a framework to visualize, document, and productize emergent work streams. 
  • Prioritize and execute initiatives with speed and rigor, leveraging data-driven insights. 


 

Enhance Processes and Metrics: 

  • Build standard measurement and dashboarding processes for emergent work streams. 
  • Create standard work, a sustainable structure, and a scalable approach. 

 

Deliver Strategic Results: 

  • Support critical growth initiatives such as new partners, new states, vendor integrations, and compliance with new legislation. 
  • Continuously optimize the performance of your team, operational efficiency, and strategic impact. 

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of experience in technical product management, with expertise in agile software development environments. 
  • A bias for action, the experience to lead from the front, and the wisdom to empower others while leading from the back. 
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver results. 
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in sizing, estimating, impact analysis, metrics, experiments, and measurement.  
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, developing clear and concise priorities and roadmaps. 
  • A track record of building new capabilities, teams, or frameworks from the ground up. 
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with a talent for engaging senior stakeholders.
