We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Community Partnerships and Outreach Coordinator to join our team and assist in building the BusPatrol Foundation. This role is ideal for someone with a commitment to child safety, strong relationship-building skills, and the drive to make a tangible impact. You will play a key role in galvanizing communities and building support around stop-arm safety and school bus transportation safety, bringing together advocates and like-minded organizations to protect our children.

We work to bring communities together to advocate for safer transportation, raise awareness, and promote legislation that ensures the safety of every child on the road. Responsibilities

  • Community Outreach: Engage with advocates and community leaders to build a strong network of supporters around our cause.
  • Event Coordination: Set up, organize, and promote community events focused on school bus safety, child safety, and stop-arm awareness.
  • Relationship Building: Foster and maintain partnerships with organizations, government entities, and other stakeholders aligned with our mission.
  • Advocacy and Awareness: Educate communities on the importance of school bus safety, seat belt legislation, and other child safety initiatives.
  • Content Creation: Write, edit, and proofread materials for community outreach, including flyers, social media posts, and event invitations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our senior leadership, supporting the big-picture vision while handling the tactical details of outreach and event support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to engage diverse communities.
  • Event planning experience or a strong interest in organizing community events.
  • Passion for child safety and a genuine interest in advocacy work.
  • Detail-oriented, with an ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

The US salary range for this position is provided in this posting. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
