We are excited to bring on a Senior Front-End Infrastructure Engineer as a key member of our Front-End Engineering team. This role is crucial in establishing the infrastructure and processes necessary to build, test, and deploy our front-end applications. Reporting directly to the Manager of Front-End Engineering, this individual will collaborate with Front-End Development, Engineering, QA, SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test), Architecture, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions that drive technical innovation and business outcomes.

Primary Initiative

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in front-end development tools and DevOps practices, with a proven ability to lead impactful transformations—such as advancing systems from 12 deployments per year to multiple deployments per sprint. Beyond technical skills, this individual must demonstrate strong mentorship capabilities, empowering their team while leading by example.

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Development: Design and implement a scalable, maintainable monorepo system for building and deploying Vue.js applications.
  • Path to Production: Collaborate with DevOps to provision and manage environments (UX, QA, STG, PROD) and ensure a seamless, single path to production.
  • Version Control & Build Process: Set up Git actions for monorepo structures, ensuring assets are correctly built, deployed, and versioned.
  • Feature Rollouts: Implement tools such as LaunchDarkly or AWS AppConfig to enable incremental rollouts and feature toggles tailored by population, persona, or partner.
  • Content Management Integration: Research and integrate a content management system (e.g., RWS) to enhance application functionality.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to align on goals and ensure smooth development and delivery processes.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Lead by example while mentoring and teaching team members to adopt best practices and new processes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end application infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Vue.js or similar front-end frameworks.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing scalable systems and managing monorepo structures.
  • Proven experience in DevOps practices, with a successful track record of leading technical transformations.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as LaunchDarkly, AWS static content delivery, and AWS AppConfig.
  • Experience integrating content management systems into front-end applications.
  • Exceptional collaboration and mentorship skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams.
