Recruiting the right talent for BusPatrol is critical in our ability to continue to innovate and build our reputation as a leading Artificial Intelligence and IoT company; the BusPatrol Talent Acquisition group is reinventing how we recruit top talent; we are seeking a passionate, results-oriented, and inventive Technical Recruiter/Talent Partner to support our IT, Engineering, Business Intelligence and Product Management groups.

As a member of the Talent Acquisition Team, the Sr. Government Affairs/Relations Talent Partner will drive the development of internal/external recruiting relationships and act as a direct consultant to our business leaders and candidates moving through the talent acquisition process. In this role you will be able to determine the best approach to successfully prioritize, execute, and close challenging tech/engineering searches, while maintaining a line of sight to benchmarks and metrics. Our Talent Partners are truly able to influence and impact the verticals they support and thrive in our science based and innovative approach to talent engagement, employer value propositions and the overall talent acquisition process. The best candidates draw on experience in the government relations and affairs space with a particular focus on local and state government and related organizations

Responsibilities

  • Lead full desk recruitment for government operations, government relations and public affairs roles; roles include mid to senior level  public and government relations professionals, government proposal writers, counsel, and government operations roles.
  • Execute a highly integrated and consultative end to end talent acquisition process from completing a comprehensive intake to sourcing, screening, and submitting candidates to reviewing and advising on hiring team feedback and ultimately closing candidates 
  • Consistently create an incredible candidate experience to drive positive employment brand awareness. 
  • Use various job boards, databases, and programs/platforms to recruit active and passive candidates focused on ability/past performance, career alignment, cultural fit, and motivation.
  • Partner with other Talent Partners on fostering excellence in the team's culture and driving productivity. 
  • Partner regularly with hiring teams to build and execute effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations. 
  • Partner effectively with recruiting team peers and cross-functional partners (Compensation, HR, business leaders, etc.) 
  • Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company. 
  • Evaluate external labor market conditions and internal employee turnover trends to recommend changes to the existing recruitment activities to meet changing market conditions. Strong candidates will have the opportunity to participate in organizational design of verticals they support based on industry knowledge and tech company best in class solutions 
  • Support Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence projects, as needed and based on interest and expertise
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in government and public affairs recruitment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in full desk recruitment for government and public affairs roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully placing candidates with government and public affairs expertise in the private sector.
  • Strong understanding of the government and public affairs sector, including key roles and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience using job boards, ATS (iCIMS preferred) and MS Office tools is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
