Overview

BusPatrol is seeking a strategic and data-driven Director, People Operations to lead and optimize our People Operations (People Ops) function. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role will oversee our Employee Lifecycle processes, HR Information Systems & Platforms, People Analytics, and HR Business Partners, ensuring the effective implementation of our People strategy and related systems and processes that enable our teams to thrive. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, leveraging data to inform strategic decisions, and scaling our people-centric initiatives to support BusPatrol’s continued growth. 

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership 
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive People Operations strategy and KPIs that align with BusPatrol’s business objectives and supports our commitment to a high-performance, inclusive workplace culture. 
  • Continuously develop and refine a central Talent Life Cycle framework from a People Operations perspective, ensuring all processes and value streams are accurately mapped, audited, and optimized for streamlined, effective workflows. 
  • Team Leadership & Development 
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the People Ops team, setting clear performance expectations and fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence
  • HRIS & Platforms Management 
  • Oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and management of HR systems and platforms (HR tech stack), ensuring they effectively support data management, employee self-service, and talent programs and operations.  
  • Maintain detailed tracking of our comprehensive HR tech stack, including robust contract documentation and effective vendor/stakeholder relations management. 
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements and automation to streamline processes and improve data integrity 
  • People Analytics 
  • Lead the development of data-driven insights by creating and managing people analytics core metrics, frameworks, and dashboards.  
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate data into actionable insights that inform workforce planning, DEIB initiatives, talent management, and employee engagement strategies. 
  • HR Business Partner Oversight 
  • Provide strategic direction and support to our HR Business Partner, ensuring they are equipped to deliver consistent, high-impact HR services across all business units.  
  • Serve as a senior advisor on complex employee relations issues, organizational design, and change management initiatives. 
  •  Lean in as on the ground HRBP as needed.  
  • Compliance & Risk Management 
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and systems comply with all applicable labor laws and regulatory requirements.  
  • In partnership with the Legal team, develop and monitor key compliance metrics to mitigate risks and promote ethical practices across the organization. 
  • Change Management & Communication 
  • Lead change management efforts related to HR systems, processes, and policies.  
  • Develop communication plans to foster transparency and drive employee engagement. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 
  • 10+ years of progressive HR/People Operations experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role overseeing HRIS/HR Tech Stack, People Analytics, and HRBP functions. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Rippling, iCIMS, Greenhouse, Culture Amp, Cornerstone, etc.) and data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel, etc.). 
  • Proven track record of driving data-informed decision-making and implementing scalable HR systems and processes. 
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR strategies with overall business goals. 
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.

The US salary range for this position is provided in this posting. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
