Overview

The Opportunity

 

BusPatrol is seeking a Director, Salesforce Platform Owner to lead the company’s Salesforce ecosystem and ensure it drives measurable business impact. This role will serve as the strategic and operational leader for Salesforce across BusPatrol, responsible for governance, intake, and alignment with company priorities. The Platform Owner will ensure Salesforce serves as a secure, scalable, and innovative platform to close gaps, capture opportunities, and support our mission to protect children and communities.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Governance

  • Translate business needs into a Salesforce strategy that is scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Establish governance and intake processes for Salesforce development requests.
  • Drive platform adoption and enforce “single source of truth” principles across business functions.
  • Lead deployment of Salesforce features using Agile methodology, coordinating resources to deploy enhancements in regular sprints.
  • Supervise the creation and deployment of Salesforce based organizational reporting to enable team to better leverage data and monitor team performance.
  • Supervise and govern workstreams, data flows, and third party integrations across Salesforce CRM, Field Service Lighting, Revenue Cloud, and Service Cloud to ensure data integrity and continued system performance.

Architecture & Delivery

  • Ensure Salesforce architecture is robust, integrated, and well-documented.
  • Oversee development velocity, backlog management, and progress reporting.
  • Partner with IT Ops (dotted line reporting) on security, access control, and vendor management.
  • Hands-on development of Salesforce tools as-needed to enable execution.
  • Ensure seamless operations for field service, ensuring daily workflows for installation and asset allocation.
  • Monitor key APIs and integrations between Salesforce, Hubspot, and Netsuite to ensure proper data flow of critical system information.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Customer Success, GovOps, Field Service, Legal, Finance, Sales, and Citation Operations teams to capture requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Represent Salesforce capabilities to executive leadership and manage stakeholder expectations. Identify ways to add value for client gaps
  • Mentor and manage the Salesforce team (developer, admins) with a focus on career growth and high performance.
  • Load balance Salesforce Administrator workloads to ensure proper delivery of new features, while also ensuring day to day operations are not disrupted.

Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years of Salesforce experience, including strategic ownership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Service Cloud, Service Cloud Voice, CRM, and integrations with ERP/field systems.
  • Proven leadership in governance, intake, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Salesforce certifications required: Salesforce Administrator + one advanced credential (Service Cloud Consultant, Advanced Admin, or Application Architect preferred).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; experience presenting to executives.

The US salary range for this position is provided in this posting. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
