Experience:          The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of procurement experience, managing supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effective sourcing of materials, managing induction of inventory into an ERP and setting reorder points / levels. Essential skills for this role include stolid negotiation skills, analytical/strategic thinking, strong communication, along with a solid understanding of supply chain and ERP systems (NetSuite, SalesForce or SAP).

 

The Opportunity: Reporting to the Director of Logistics, the Procurement Supervisor is responsible for managing the sourcing and purchasing of capitalized components, consumables, and supplier programs or VMI. They will be responsible for entering and maintaining purchase orders in NetSuite, while providing support to other BusPatrol departments through procurement programs. Key responsibilities include developing sourcing strategies, compliance to budgets, coordinating with internal departments, vendor management, and monitoring performance against organizational goals and legal compliance. Additional responsibilities include assisting all departments in sourcing, selecting parts & vendor management.

Responsibilities

  • Supplier Management:  Onboard and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiation:  Negotiate SLA's and pricing to secure the best value for the organization.
  • Strategic Sourcing:  Assist in developing and implementing strategies for sourcing materials and supplies efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Leadership:  Supervise and manage the daily activities of purchasing including workload, performance, and development of supply KPIs impacting the FLT performance
  • Cost Control:  Identify and implement ways to reduce procurement costs and maintain budget and OPS Plan.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:  Work with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and forecast demand.
  • Policy & Compliance:  Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Reporting:  Monitor and report on procurement performance and team activities to management.
  • Achieve all assigned targets for vendor and supplier compliance. 
  • Ensure inventory requirement dates are met, mitigating any disruption to service or supply. 
  • Facilitate the timely and accurate purchase order issuance or receipt in NetSuite based on Installation and OPS plan. 
  • Participate in building a strong culture of accountability, safety, and service delivery to support achievement of goals and key performance metrics. 
  • Ability to review potential suppliers or markets to assist in Product Development Project Engineers. 

Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years’ experience in a procurement, purchasing or administrative role with a history of being a team player, delivering results and wanting to succeed.
  • Experience working with NetSuite and Oracle systems is preferred.
  • Cantonese, Mandarin, Chinese language fluency is preferred.
  • Demonstrated solid judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Able to influence and work with others to ensure support for programs, projects, and initiatives.
  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills
